As a proud member and past president of the Wedding Musician Assocation, I subscribe to the following principles:
Never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, cultural traditions or age.
Listen to my clients and try to understand their vision for success.
Be a supportive consultant and service provider to wedding planners.
Make certain to ensure the safety of my client and guests.
Whenever possible, provide a guest microphone.
Know the management rules and regulations of the venue in advance.
Be prepared for specialized electrical requirements and bring backup equipment.
Never take more time for a break than my performance agreement allows, and always let my client know where you will be located.
Be familiar with and respect the culture and tradition of my client.
Fully know all necessary protocol for weddings, & receptions.
Always charge fairly for my services and make certainmy client understands and agrees fully with any performance contract.
Always be prepared to play music by request.
Never drink alcohol or smoke tobacco in or near the venue.
Never display a "tip jar," merchandise or business cards.
Wear suitable clothing as advised by my client.
Never setup or pack your equipment while quests are still located in the performance area.
Avoid being a "celebrity" during my performance and remember: It's not about me.
